Our Team

Working Free is a young company that has developed its model over a number of years. Its Founders, Directors and Delivery Partners have long term personal experience of independent working. They also have specific professional experience in those technical sectors applicable to the MasterClasses that they present.

We have comprehensive Agreements with our Delivery Partners. Part of this are measures to promote excellent Presentation and to ensure the quality of our Material and Content is of the highest order. It has taken quite some time to create what could be a unique Learning Management System and our core IP is about nurturing and growing this impressive resource.

Charles Russam

Managing Director

Charles Russam is the Founder and Associate Director of www.Russam-GMS.co.uk which he chaired from 1982 until 2014. Russam GMS is the longest established Interim Management Provider in the UK and has a complementary and growing Search Practice which includes a specialist Practice for NED Search and also the Not for Profit/ Charity Sector and also has an international capability through www.WILgroup.net.

Charles founded the Interim Management Association in 1987 – www.InterimManagement.uk.com .

He also set up www.DevonshireHouseNetwork.co.uk , the successor organisation to the Devonshire House Management Club. DHN is a people-focused membership club for Director-level professionals in leadership roles who have an instinctive focus on the human side of enterprise. DHN Members have a serious interest in all aspects of people at work and how people can flourish within whatever and wherever the work environment and context may be. Peter Barnett

Chief Operating Officer

Peter worked his way up in the corporate world working for companies including Cornhill Insurance and GE Capital before moving into the private sector becoming the Business development Director of Frosts (Landscaping & Garden Centre Group). This was a very successful phase and provided the springboard to enable Peter to start his own consultancy in 2009.

Since then Peter has worked with over 60 businesses advising on Business Development and Strategy including launching new businesses and brands. He has gained valuable experiences that helps him to understand the challenges in moving from a senior role to becoming successful as an independent.

Lorren Wyatt

Chair and Head of Practice - Professional Services

Lorren is a former Group HRD of a FTSE 100 Financial Services Group before he joint-ventured with an International Law Firm and was Head of their HR Business Consulting Division, advising clients in both private and public sectors.

He has multi-jurisdiction experience gained whilst working with a Norwegian PE global business. More recently, Lorren has advised Health Tech start-ups and is Co-founder of an US company that provides AI powered ear-nose-throat health solutions.

Lorren has been closely associated with Devonshire House for many years and brings a wealth of corporate and independent working experience to Working Free as Chair and Head of Practice -Professional Services.
